Amy Argetsinger is an editor for the Style section. A staff writer with The Washington Post since 1995, she has been assigned to the Metro staff, covered the Maryland suburbs and higher education; the National staff, as the West Coast as a Los Angeles-based reporter in 2004-2005; and the Style staff, which she joined in 2005. With Style, she was the Reliable Source columnist from 2005 to 2013, before becoming an editor in 2014. She is the author of "There She Was: The Secret History of Miss America" (2021).
